The questions most people ask before reaching out.
Organized by category. If your question isn’t here, the application form or a discovery call is the fastest way to get a direct answer.
About the company.
Are you really one company, or are you a referral service?
Both, depending on the trade. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and handyman are our own techs on our own payroll. Roofing, painting, flooring, masonry, and similar specialties come from our vetted network — but we project-manage the work end-to-end and stand behind the result.
What’s your service area?
Dallas–Fort Worth metro primarily, with our densest service in the inner-loop suburbs (Highland Park, University Park, Lakewood, Preston Hollow, Bluffview, Lake Highlands, North Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Coppell, Las Colinas). We extend the radius for project work and Concierge clients into Southlake, Westlake, Colleyville, Grapevine, Rockwall, McKinney, and Allen.
How fast can someone come out for a non-emergency?
Most non-emergency calls are scheduled within 24–48 hours. SyncCare members get same-day or next-day priority booking. True emergencies (gas, water, electrical) are 24/7 for plan members.
What counts as an emergency for SyncCare members?
Active gas leaks, major water leaks where shut-off won’t stop the spread, no-heat events below 35°F, no-AC events above 95°F when health is at risk, electrical fire/smoke, and any structural concerns. For 911-level events, call 911 first — then us.
How we charge.
Is the $149 diagnostic fee ever waived?
Yes — if you proceed with a repair under $500 on the same visit, we waive the diagnostic fee. We don’t waive it for diagnostics that don’t result in work, because those visits still cost us labor.
How is SyncCare priced — $59 vs $99 vs $159?
Tiered by square footage. Under 2,000 sq ft is $59/mo. 2,000–4,000 sq ft is $99/mo. Over 4,000 sq ft is $159/mo. Visit content scales with home size — bigger homes have more systems to check.
Are there cancellation fees on SyncCare?
None. Month-to-month, cancel anytime, no fee. If you cancel mid-month we’ll refund pro-rated days. The point of no-contract pricing is that we have to earn the relationship every month, which is the right alignment.
How does Concierge pricing work?
Concierge starts around $899/mo for smaller homes with light coordination needs, and scales up based on property size, services included, vendor load, and frequency of touchpoints. We quote it during a discovery conversation — there’s no published price grid because no two Concierge homes are the same.
Are project quotes really fixed?
Yes, with one honest caveat. If we discover something genuinely unexpected behind a wall or under a floor (a buried leak, structural rot, rodent damage), we stop, document it, and re-quote rather than just keep going. We don’t run the meter or sneak it onto the invoice.
What we do.
What does “vetted” actually mean for your specialist network?
Licensed in their trade, insured to current Texas requirements, background-checked, and tracked on quality across previous jobs we’ve project-managed. We drop specialists who don’t hold the bar. The vetting is ongoing — a specialist who slips loses the relationship.
Do you do new construction or just existing homes?
Existing homes only. We’re an operations company, not a general contractor. We don’t have the licensing scope, the permit relationships, or the appetite for ground-up construction.
Can you handle insurance claims?
For Concierge clients, yes — we coordinate documentation, inspection access, and contractor scheduling. For everyone else we’ll document our findings and write a clear scope, but we don’t directly handle the carrier negotiation.
What if my problem turns out to need a trade you don’t offer?
We’ll tell you, and we’ll give you a referral. We’re not going to invent a way to take the job — the long-term cost of doing work we shouldn’t is worse than the short-term cost of losing it.
SyncCare and Concierge details.
What’s actually included in a SyncCare seasonal visit?
HVAC system check (filter, condensate, coils, refrigerant levels), plumbing inspection (fixtures, water heater, visible plumbing), electrical inspection (panel, GFCIs, smoke detector batteries), exterior walk-through (caulk, weatherstripping, visible roof), and a written report with anything flagged. Typically 90–150 minutes per visit depending on home size.
Do I have to use SyncCare to get a discount?
The 10% service discount and same-day priority are SyncCare benefits. You can use us per-visit forever without a plan — you just pay the standard rate at standard scheduling.
Can I downgrade Concierge to SyncCare later?
Yes. Several of our SyncCare members started as Concierge while they were traveling more, then downgraded when their schedule changed. Move freely between tiers.
Does Concierge come with a contract minimum?
Three-month minimum to start, then month-to-month. The three months covers the onboarding workload (property walk-through, vendor handoffs, system documentation). After that, cancel anytime.
Licensing, insurance, and the practical stuff.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — to current Texas requirements. Master license holders on staff for plumbing and electrical. General liability and workers’ comp coverage on every employee and every job. We carry COI documentation on file and can send it on request.
What kind of workmanship warranty do you offer?
30 days on Per-Visit repairs. 30 days on Project work (longer on specific systems — water heaters get manufacturer warranty plus our install warranty, paint gets 1 year, etc.). 60 days for SyncCare members. 90 days for Concierge.
Do you pull permits when required?
Yes, on all work that requires one (panel changes, gas line work, major plumbing alterations, structural work). Permit cost is itemized in the project quote.
Do you accept credit cards / Zelle / financing?
Credit cards, ACH, Zelle, and check. For projects over $5,000 we offer 0% short-term financing through a third-party partner. We don’t accept cash — we’d rather have the paper trail.
Can I leave a review somewhere?
Google is our preferred review platform because it’s where prospective clients look. We’ll send a link after work completes — but only if you bring it up. We don’t badger anyone for reviews.
